On Saturday 27th June 2015, hundreds of athletes and spectators descended on the County Tyrone village of Dromore, for the annual Dromore 10k road race. This is the seventh event and is sponsored by McDermott's Pharmacy in the Main Street. Around 350 people took part in the 10K, 5K and 5K Walk with a start and finish in the centre of the town.

The well organised event never fails to attract a plethora of talent, and this year was no different with many liking the challenge of the hills in the route.  Reigning Champion Stephen Duncan (Omagh Harriers) returned and faced the challenge of NI & Ulster Senior 10,000m Champion Stephen Morris (City of Lisburn AC).  In the end, it was NI international Stephen Duncan who claimed top spot, with both mean bettering their 2014 finish times by exactly seven seconds.  Stephen Duncan clocked 33:21 for 1st place, with Stephen Morris crossing the line in 35:50 for 2nd place.  Ballymena Runners' Richard Johnston completed the podium places in 36:19 (3rd place).

In the ladies race, Hannah Oldroyd (Airedale Harriers) continued the superb form that has saw her win the Jude Gallagher 10 mile road race and the Ards Half Marathon in the days preceding this race.  The England based athlete broke the tape in 39:55 to secure 1st place.  Bex Lambson (Unattached) followed in 42:34 (2nd place), before Enniskillen Running Club's Karen Dolan took 3rd place in 44:32.

In the associated 5k road race, Sean McNabb who plays for Dromore GFC led the field home in 20:22 (1st place), with Abbie Barrett (Enniskillen Runners) also running well to win the ladies category in 23:21 (1st place).
